Ivica Malnar, MPharm, PhD
Dr. Ivica Malnar holds the position of Senior Pharmaceutical Officer for Documentation Assessment at the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of Croatia (HALMED). He obtained Ph.D. (1997) in chemistry, M.Sc. (1993) in chemistry and M.Pharm. (1990) from the University of Zagreb. From January 1998 to December 1999, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at School of Pharmacy, University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. From 2000 to 2012 he worked at PLIVA – Research Institute, GlaxoSmithKline Research Centre and Galapagos Research Centre in Zagreb, Croatia. He joined the Croatian Agency in 2012, as quality assessor in the Medicines Authorization Division, Department for Quality Assessment. Ivica Malnar is a member of the EMA QWP (since 2021) being the EC, Europe Topic Leader for ICH M4Q (since 2024) and Deputy Topic Leader for ICH Q3C (since 2021). He has also been involved in the Certification procedure at EDQM as an external assessor (since 2016), and a former member of the Chemical TAB at EDQM (2018-2024). He is co-author of 19 scientific papers mostly in international scientific journals.
