Goran Abdurrahman, PhD (he/him/his)

Senior IVD Product Specialist
TÜV Rheinland, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany

Goran Abdurrahman, who holds a PhD in Immunology from the University of Greifswald, Germany, has built a commendable career in the in vitro diagnostics sector, backed by over a decade of diverse professional experiences.
He began his career in the healthcare setting, working in a diagnostic laboratory for several years, ultimately advancing to the role of Laboratory Manager. Subsequently, after completing his PhD, Goran engaged in postdoctoral research before transitioning to the regulatory field.
Moving into the role of a scientific officer at the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, Goran brought his expertise to bear as a trainer for IVD regulation. Amidst the challenges of implementing the IVDR, he joined the notified body TÜV Rheinland as a Senior Product Specialist. In addition, Goran serves as an advisor and trainer in the field of IVDs for international organizations such as the World Health Organization and the Fleming Initiative, as well as for programs focused on the regulation of IVDs on the African continent.
