Head of Global Regulatory Strategic Innovation

Sarah Haake-Schäfer is the Head of Global Strategic Regulatory Innovation at ZEISS Vision Care. In this role, she is responsible for driving regulatory affairs as an innovation enabler. She and her team are responsible for the digital transformation of regulatory affairs, regulatory intelligence and advocacy, as well as regulatory strategy. Previously, she led different departments in Quality Management, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs within ZEISS.
She is determined to shape the future of regulatory enviroment based on digital tools, forward thinking and in-depth knowledge. As a gast-lecturer at University of Aalen, co-chair of the Regulatory Affairs Forum Medical Devices, leader of the SPECTARIS industry working group on digitalisation, and member of MDKU, she bridges the gap between hands-on industry practice, standardisation and innovation, helping to shape a future-proof, digitally enabled medical technology ecosystem.
