Frank Pétavy, MSc (he/him/his)

Frank Pétavy is a mathematician and biostatistician by training. He has worked 14 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry before moving to EMA in 2012 where he was Head of Methodology until summer 2024. Frank gained experience as statistical assessor from a recent secondment to the Dutch medicines Agency CBG-MEB. He supports the Methodology Working Party, including on regulatory guidelines in the methodological, clinical and quality areas at both European and international levels, for example on estimands and adaptive designs. He is the originator of the first AI-based search tool at EMA, Scientific Explorer, and currently focuses on the implementation of data standards to increase AI efficiency.
