Grace Fu Palma is the principal of China Med Device. She is a seasoned bilingual and bicultural MedTech executive, specializing in China and US regulatory and commercialization services. She has 30 years of experience driving global and China business strategy, regulatory, clinical evaluation and trials, commercialization, partnerships, for both large multinationals and startup companies. She started China Med Device (CMD) in 2011. She has been personally involved in launching hundreds of medical devices in the US and China market. She is a regular invited speaker on China and US regulatory, clinical evaluation and trials, and market access subjects at key national and local MedTech meetings such as AdvaMed and RAPS, FDA News etc. She also contributes to multiple industry and regulatory journals.
She effectively leverages her deep understanding of cultural differences between China and the U.S., her proven knowledge and experience of medical device products and companies, and her extensive network and work experience in both markets. This has enabled her to help numerous medical device companies, ranging from large corporations to startups, successfully establish themselves in multiple countries with a broad base of products for multiple departments.
As the founder of Chinese American Heart Association (CnAHA) in 2005, a leading Chinese cardiovascular clinicians society, she has kept herself connected with key opinion leaders between US and China. As a member of several other physician communities such as ANACP (Alliance of North American Chinese Physicians) and CAP (Chinese American Physicians), and as founder of CECA (Chinese Eye Care Alliance), she is well-connected to the clinical key opinion leaders in key clinical disciplines between US and China.
Grace grew up in Beijing, China and received a BA/BS joint degree from Peking University, China, and an MBA from Yale University in New Haven, CT.
