Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health, TUD Dresden University of Technology, Germany
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Else Kröner Fresenius Centre for Digital Health, at the Medical Faculty of TUD Dresden University of Technology. In my current role, I coordinate projects at the intersection of digital health, medical devices, and regulation, with a particular focus on developing innovative frameworks for software as a medical device. My work includes the conceptualization and publication of new regulatory approaches that address the challenges of emerging digital health technologies.
I earned my doctorate at TU Dresden, where my research focused on novel biomaterials for heart valve prostheses. My academic background in biotechnology and molecular bioengineering has shaped a multidisciplinary perspective that I now apply to regulatory science and digital health innovation. Over the past years, I have published on topics such as regulatory strategies for digital health applications, performance monitoring of digital health apps, and the role of living labs and regulatory sandboxes in healthcare innovation. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to bridging the gap between scientific discovery and practical implementation in healthcare.
My current research interests center on how artificial intelligence, multi-omics, and advanced digital platforms can be responsibly integrated into clinical practice. I am motivated by the opportunity to support the safe and effective adoption of next-generation healthcare solutions and to ensure that regulatory science evolves in step with technological progress.
