Catarina Carrão is the founder of BioSciPons, a life sciences research organization providing regulatory intelligence, clinical development, evaluation and impact monitoring for health technologies, specializing in AI-enabled technologies and digital twins. Carrão's academic background includes a Marie-Curie Fellowship at Medical University Charité Berlin, Postdoctoral Fellowships at Medical University of Vienna, and Yale University Cardiovascular Research Center. Since 2013, she is a Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA), Delegate of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), and Professional Member of the Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi) organization. She is an expert for the European Health and Digital Executive Agency, the European Innovation and Technology (EIT) Council Health Cluster, and International Rare Diseases Research Consortium (IRDiRC) Expert on Digital Twins.
