Marina Madokoro is the UDI Regulatory Affairs Manager for EMEA at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, based in Belgium. She is responsible for overseeing regional UDI policy activities within the company. Johnson & Johnson MedTech is a global leader in innovative surgical technologies and solutions, supporting surgeons and healthcare professionals worldwide.
Marina holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and executive MBA in project management from the University of São Paulo, Brazil . Beyond her responsibilities at Johnson & Johnson, she actively participates in industry-wide initiatives, such as GS1 working groups and serving as the Chair of the EUDAMED Working Group at Medtech Europe. In this role, she leads efforts to facilitate the industry’s understanding and implementation of EUDAMED, shares best practices, and advocates for optimal system adoption.
Marina is recognized for her extensive expertise in regulatory affairs, especially regarding device identification, EUDAMED, and MDR compliance. She actively contributes to industry discussions, provides strategic insights, and conducts training sessions to prepare stakeholders for upcoming regulatory changes. Her diverse experience and leadership make her a trusted authority in medical device regulation and digital system implementation.
